On 16 October 2024, Triple Capital joined other private and public-private sectors to hand over their cheque sponsorships to the Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism. The grants pledged are to support Namibia host its pavilion at the upcoming United Nations 29th Conference of Parties, scheduled to take place from 11th – 22nd November 2024 in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Triple Capital made a contribution of NAD20,000.00 to the Namibian Pavilion which will host Namibian side events and act as an office of COP29 programming and operations during the UNFCCC COP29 negotiations. The contributions were facilitated by the Environmental Investment Fund of Namibia together with the Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board, on behalf of the Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism.

A total contribution of NAD1,775,000.00 was received. Amongst its commitments, Triple Capital pledged to further contribute in-kind support to the Namibian Pavilion and the coordinating Ministry which includes preparation of the delegations attending COP29 to understand key agenda items; publication of the updated Namibia Climate Finance Landscape 2018-2022 and, hosting and moderating of events. Triple Capital will also be at the forefront of drafting the country’s back-to-office report.
