The Environmental Investment Fund of Namibia (EIF) together with the Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism (MEFT) recently held a consolidated Round Table Discussion on Gender Mainstreaming and Climate Finance, with emphasis on drawing back on lessons learned from the various projects financed and implemented in Namibia to understand how best climate finance impacts gender mainstreaming in national strategies and frameworks. The Round Table Discussion that was held at the Windhoek Country Club on 8 September 2022, invited diverse stakeholders in the industry of national project implementations and experts in Gender and climate finance. In the picture above from the far left is, the Climate Finance Expert and Director of Triple Capital Ms Louise Brown who was a panellist at the discussion alongside Mr Ngamane Karuaihe-Upi a Gender Expert and Activist, Ms Josephine Toivo who is a Gender Expert at the Ministry of Gender Equality, Poverty Eradication and Social Welfare and Ms Magaret Angula a gender Expert and Senior Lecturer at the University of Namibia.
